Versions
SnapAttack follows the calendar versioning (CalVer) convention for releases, using the YY.MM.MICRO
format. This means that software versions follow our project's release calendar, instead of arbitrary numbers, and helps provide better context to the user as to when features became available.
For example, if a user sees the version 22.06.05
, that can be translated to the 5th patch release in June, 2022. As a balance between pushing the latest features to our customers, but also ensuring adequate time for testing and QA, we typically promote a new release twice per month (every two weeks), with some additional minor hotfixes as needed.
Cloud Customers
If you are accessing SnapAttack via our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, then you are always using the latest version. You can check out the release notes to see what's new.
On-Prem Customers
If you have an on-prem version of SnapAttack, you can tell what version you are currently running from the version string in the footer. SnapAttack publishes quarterly releases for the on-prem version. You can download the on-prem installation bundle from the software portal.
